Lithographs depicting heroes of selected Mexican narrative ballads (corridos) on Enameled Metal.
The series of Lithographs Cantos y Corridos is a response to the fading memory of the traditional Mexican corrido, or narrative ballad. In combining the musical tradition with hand drawn portraits inspired by the esthetics and mysticism of early photographic processes, I strive to preserve and to propagate the wisdom and stories that are the core of the corrido.
